Kate was born and raised in Waterman, Illinois and attended college at Northern Illinois University where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in geography and geographic information systems. In 2015 she fulfilled her childhood dream of moving to Colorado, but will always stay true to her roots by remaining a loyal Chicago Blackhawks fan! Kate has been an animal lover her entire life and is an advocate for our clients and the health of their fur babies. In her free time she enjoys making jewelry, taking advantage of Colorado's fabulous scenery, traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and of course spoiling her dog Layla.
Stephanie is a proud Colorado native, having been born and raised in Fort Collins. An avid animal lover since childhood, Stephanie loves to spoil her pets. She has owned and cared for retired racing greyhounds for nearly a decade. In addition to being passionate about animal adoption, it has been her lifelong dream to work in the veterinary field. Having recently bought her first house in Windsor, Stephanie is eager to make a positive impact on her local community. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Garden Valley team!
A new comer to Colorado, Sabrina has spent her past couple of years in Illinois working on the start of her college degree. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s in Zoology through CSU and enjoys gaining the knowledge necessary to move forward in a career with animals. Sabrina has spent a lot of time fostering kittens and caring for her own two cats and dog. Her favorite part of working at Garden Valley is being able to greet each pet that walks through the door with a good ear scratch or treat. Sabrina can’t wait to see where this new adventure will take her!
Amy was born and raised in Kansas where she went to K-State and graduated with a bachelors in engineering. Although Amy was a great engineer, she wanted to work with animals. She worked with local animal rescues and rehabilitated many dogs. Two years ago Amy moved to Fort Collins to attend Front Range Community College where she graduated with an an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in the summer of 2014. Amy joined our team at Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital shortly after graduation. She lives with three pets of her own: Toby a heeler mix, Lilly a feisty calico, and Wilbur a guinea pig. She absolutely loves what she does now!
Lizzy was born in California, and moved here to Northern Colorado several years ago. She has always had a passion for animals and has always had at least one dog in her life. She currently lives in Windsor with her four furry-babies (a Pomeranian named Cookie, a Heeler-mix named Dough, a Pitbull-mix named Dusk, and a Huskie-mix named Peaches) and two bearded dragons (Jack and Sally). Lizzy hopes to eventually attend either grooming or veterinary technician school in the future and eventually would like to run an animal shelter.
Brenda was originally born in Colorado Springs, CO, but grew up in a small town in Arizona called Page. Since the age of three, she has always had a true passion for all animals. Growing up with five horses and two dogs, she loves having the responsibility of giving all pets the best care possible. Brenda also competed in rodeo with her horses for two years and continues to be involved in the equine field. She has a one year old sweet loving Boxer/German Shepard dog named Gauge. Brenda is attending
veterinary technician school at Front Range Community College. Her long-term goals include going to veterinary school or veterinary technician school.
Originally born in Long Beach, California, Maddie moved to Colorado when she was eight years old. With a strong devotion from a young age for animals of all types, it was clear what her dream career would be. Maddie currently lives in Fort Collins and attends Colorado State University, where she is seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She hopes to go on to veterinary school to specialize in surgery. With a passion for large breed dogs, it’s no wonder her favorite parts of the day are the ones she gets to spend with her Newfoundland fur-baby, Baxter.
Sammi was originally born in Denver, Colorado but moved to the mountain town Buena Vista when she was four years old. She had animals since she was born, however it was when she obtained her first dog that she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. She is now pursuing that dream and is currently a Sophomore at Colorado State University. She plans to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and then attend veterinary school. Sammi is a lover of cats, dogs, and almost any other animal you could think of. Her hobbies include playing her flute, reading, golfing, snowboarding, and being active outside. Sammi’s excited to have the opportunity to make your pets happy and keep them healthy during their stay here at Garden Valley!
Kaylie was originally born in Wheat Ridge, CO. She is currently majoring in Zoology at Colorado State University. She plans to continue her passion for animals into veterinary school and specialize in radiology. Kaylie grew up always surrounded by animals and currently has an orange tabby named Ruby. When she's not studying she enjoys watching the Broncos and spending time with family and friends. Kaylie loves being able to work with animals everyday and give them the attention and love they all deserve.
Breanna was born and raised in Windsor, CO and has always been a huge animal lover. She went to CSU and graduated with a BS in Biology in 2015. Although she doesn't currently have any pets of her own, she loves to spend time with her friends and family's pets. In her spare time she enjoys going to shows at Red Rocks and watching movies. She is very excited to be at Garden Valley and to spend her time spoiling all of the boarding cats and dogs!
Sammie was born and raised in Colorado. She always knew she wanted to work with animals and decided to go grooming school. She graduated from grooming school in 2017 and started at Garden Valley shortly after. Sammie enjoys using her low stress handling techniques and professional training to make your pets look and feel their best! In her free time, Sammie enjoys singing, hiking, and spending time with her English bulldog, Heavy.
This is a quality veterinary hospital and boarding facility. It is nice to board at a relatively small facility where the staff actually get to know your pets.
