Dr. Roni Kloer - Practice Owner
Dr. Roni Kloer has been at Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital since 2013. Dr. Kloer grew up in Parker, Colorado and attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She continued on at CSU for Veterinary School and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Dr. Kloer is proud to be a CSU Ram! After completing vet school, Dr. Kloer did a small animal rotating internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver where she gained extensive experience seeing emergency cases and working with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, critical care, oncology, and cardiology. After her internship, Dr. Kloer joined the team at Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital and enjoys being a general practice doctor. Her veterinary interests include emergency medicine, wellness care, geriatric care, feline medicine, pain management and acupuncture.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kloer enjoys cooking, reading, and dog training. Dr. Kloer and her husband, Tim, currently have 3 cocker spaniels named Max, Jackie, and Diva.
Dr. Kathryn Touran - Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kathryn Touran has cared for companion and exotic animals at Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner since 2010. Dr. Touran, a native of Petoskey, Michigan, attended the University of Washington in Seattle. In addition to competing at the national level with their Division I Track and Cross Country teams, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology. She continued her education at Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, and Colorado State University-College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in January, 2009. Prior to becoming a member of the Garden Valley Veterinary Hospital team, Dr. Touran worked as a high-intensity ER veterinarian. Dr. Touran’s professional interests include dentistry, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine in all species, emergency medicine, and preventative pain therapy.
Dr. Touran’s personal interests include: running, riding her horses, surfing, sailing, skiing, travel, being in the mountains and any other outdoor activity. Dr. Touran is an active member of the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. She shares her home with her husband and their menagerie of pets, including dogs, cats, horses, parrots, and chickens.
This is a quality veterinary hospital and boarding facility. It is nice to board at a relatively small facility where the staff actually get to know your pets.
