Dr. Maria Kintzley is a true coal miner’s daughter, born and raised in rural southern West Virginia. She is a loyal Mountaineer fan, earning a marketing degree from West Virginia University in 2004. Dr. Kintzley spent several years working as a corporate executive in New York City before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She moved west to attend Colorado State University, where she earned her Masters in Business Administration in 2014 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.

Dr. Kintzley loves practicing small animal general medicine and is a self-proclaimed cat lady. Her professional interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine, and nutrition. She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and Colorado Veterinary Medical Association.   

Dr. Kintzley and her husband Zach reside in Fort Collins, CO with their two daughters, Milly and Ruby, two tabby cats, Flip and Luigi, and a heeler mix named Edie.
